Thank you for joining me! Remember, you can find All About African Violets:
Glad that your Jersey Snow Flakes is doing so well! [My short-term memory isn’t what it used to be I guess! :) ]
You had so much great information today. I recently potted up some of my babies and your “rule” of having leaves thumb size or pinky size helped me decide which ones were ready. I also didn’t understand the term immature leaves when I first heard it, but it makes sense. And now I know to remove them once the plants begin to grow.
My plants have improved so much by using the information that you have provided on the podcast. I am so much better at consistent care and am working on the repotting every 6 months.
Thanks Annie, for taking the time out of your busy schedule to make the podcast. It always makes my Sunday morning to spend some time with you!
Janice, I’m so glad that the podcast has helped you become a better grower! Thank you very much :-)
Love your show! Very interesting new information. Thanks for all hard work you doing for us. I injoy watching you a lot
Thank you Holly! I’m glad you are enjoying the podcast! :-)
Great podcast, Annie. Thank you so much!!! I’m looking forward to you working on some mini’s in the future. I think you put some M and SM leaves down after National, right?
Thanks again!!
Mary
Thank you Mary! Yes, I did put some minis and semis down after National – I’ll be sure to film working with them, too!
Mary – minis and semis are next on the agenda!
Hi Annie. I enjoy watching your podcast. After I watched this one I went and cleaned up the “extra” leaves on some of my older plants. The transplanting will have to wait a while. I did wonder if you could do one on trimming up trailers. I understand the concept but it seems more daunting when I am looking at one. I don’t think that I would be the only one :-). Thanks for all the work you do for us.
Wendy – you are not the first to ask me about trailers. I’m hoping to have something to share on trailers soon!! I agree, they can be pretty daunting :-)
Hi Annie!
Thanks for showing us the grooming! Your Sansoucy Coco very much reminded me of my Happy Harold – except that one has even more of a neck… I will have to take some time and repot it :)
Enjoyed this episode, thank you Annie! I do have a question about repotting a crooked plant. When you repotted your Sansoucy Coco, did you set it straight in the pot or crooked so the neck was vertical?
Also, thanks for the reminder about a baby needing five leaves before separating from the momma leaf…
Laurie – Great question! In this case I placed it in the pot with the neck relatively straight, and I’ve placed it on my stand in such a way as to give the leaves a chance to right themselves. If this doesn’t work, I’ll be adjusting the neck placement in the next repotting.
