Vanessa asks Annie:Q Hi Annie,
Last May I purchased this Robs Wascallie Rabbit plant.
This plant seems content in my window growing environment. It has grown and blooms regularly. My question is, how do I know if my plant is overgrown for a miniature violet?
Do I need to repot or should I keep in current size? I have repotted in the same pot several times to date.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hope you continue your Podcasts, I enjoy them and learn so much.
A Hi Vanessa,
Your plant is looking pretty good! The next time you repot it, it will be time to groom off that bottom row of leaves – the crown leaves need some space to grow out.
Minis are usually happy in 2″ to 2 1/4″ pot or a Solo cup. They will never need to be in anything larger. The rosette of a miniature African violet should not be more than 6″ in diameter.
Hope this helps!
