Welcome to my Sunroom
Hi Everyone! Come on in and relax for a bit.
One of the things that came up over and over when I asked for what you might like to see on the podcast, was the other gesneriads that I grow. So, today we are going to look at them!
This episode is a little longer than usual. I hope you will enjoy it and find it to be informative!
Tips and Treasures
The other gesneriads in this episode include:

OMG, was I in need of this Podcast!! My streps have been getting out of hand. Constantly having ruff looking leaves. I didn’t know to cut the leaves off that had already flowered. Oh dear. no wonder I have been getting so many gnarly looking leaves and blooms. I had been trimming some but not enough.I think you have convinced me to get a columnea also. Thanks for such a great Podcast. Blessings to you from Spring Texas Patricia
Patricia, I’m so glad this episode was helpful for you!! Just to clarify – the strep leaves have multiple blossom buds in each leaf – so they will bloom again and again, but once all the blossom stalks have sprouted and bloomed, there will not be any more. You can usually actually see the bumps on the leaves. All the leaves I cut were old and would not bloom again.
Thanks for that podcast Annie. I think it was quite helpful for the ‘other Gesneriads’
Margaret, I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for this!
You’re welcome!!
